Stop-Frame Workshop

This workshop is an introduction to animation as a career path. Thulani Yose-Simantov from Triggerfish Foundation will guide you through a fun stop-motion workshop, where you get the chance to make your own short movie. Please bring your smartphone or tablet with a camera function.

A limited number of attendees will be able to participate in the workshop. Space will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Make sure you arrive early!

Thulani Yose-Simantov is a multi-talent, having a background in fine art, he worked as a production designer, director in animation and animation trainer. He has over 20 years of experience across a broad spectrum of classical animation and design work in the animation industry.

He started his career with animation houses such as Digital Arts, Art Attack and Love Boom. From 2004-2006, Thulani provided animation courses at the prestigious University of the Witwatersrand.

Furthermore, he taught aspiring artists in Denmark and India in 3D animation. Thulani’s passion is to find, develop and inspire raw untapped creative talent in Africa and thus share and celebrate African artistic excellence worldwide.
